	Mark the Date! Chili Cook-Off is Friday, December 5! Tickets: $8 per person, children 5 and under are free CHILI Bring your most scrumptious pot of chili and you could be honored as the 2008 WINNER, with your name on a permanent plaque in the Parish House. Please sign up in the Narthex if you intend to enter; all contestants must bring their warm chili to the kitchen at 6:00 PM. Judging will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. In addition to the chili, we will have a Salad and Bread Bar, dessert and beverages. Beer and wine will be available for $1 each. BASKETS Theme baskets will be raffled, with tickets for $1 each or 6 for $5, with winners announced at the Chili Cook-Off. Ideas for theme baskets: Coffee Lovers basket, Italian Dinner basket, Movie Night basket, Gardening basket, Chocolate Lovers basket, Wine basket. Baskets may be donated by individuals or church groups, such as the ECW, Altar Guild, Youth Group, etc. Please sign up in the Narthex to donate a basket. Baskets will be displayed and tickets sold prior to the event as well as during the event. You needn't be present to win. ENTERTAINMENT Fabulous entertainment will accompany our delicious feast and raffle!


	We will be starting to meet on Tuesday, December 9, at 10:00 AM to prepare our gifts of hats that we donate to Everybody's Tabernacle. The hats are then distributed to the homeless before cold weather sets in. This ministry has been well received and we would like to continue it. 	There will be a Candlelit Labyrinth Walk at 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, at the Good Samaritan Labyrinth. The walk will be part of our Advent progression as we prepare for the coming of the Christ Child. If the weather is uncooperative, the service will be held in the church. More details will be posted nearer the time.
